  1. Let It Pool: For optimal fragrance, burn your candle for 1-2 hours until the melted wax reaches the edge. This ensures an even burn and maximizes scent and will stop the candle from just burning a hole down the middle. If a candle is not burned for long enough to allow the wax to liquefy or to melt from edge to edge of the container, it will create a “memory ring.” Once a candle has a “memory ring,” it will continue to tunnel for the life of the candle.
  2. Take Breaks: Avoid burning for more than four hours at a time; you could risk overheating your vessel.
  3. Trim the Wick: Before re-lighting, trim the tiny burnt bulb off the end of your wick.
  4. Don't blow your candle out! This will kill your beautiful scent replacing it with a bitter smoke smell. Instead, use a tool to dip the wick over into the liquid wax and drown the flame. this will keep the scent lingering. Straighten the wick back upright before wax resets.
  5. Keep it away from draughts. When burning a candle, avoid proximity to fans, air conditioners, open windows, or crowded areas with people walking back and forth. Moving air can disturb the flame, resulting in those pesky black marks on the glass.
  6. Store candles correctly: Store candles in a cool, dark and dry place with the lid on to keep them clean of dust and debris, and to help protect the wax and fragrance. Highly fragrant candles have a life span of 6 to 12 months, depending on the scent. If you enjoy fragranced candles, then use and replace them often to avoid deterioration in appearance and performance.
